Driven piles

Driven piles are foundational components that are installed to a specific depth or resistance using impact or vibration hammers. They assure rapidity of execution, clean working area, and allow for immediate assessment of load-bearing capacity by measuring the resistance encountered during installation.

Sheet piling

Sheet piling refers to a type of driven pile composed of steel plates, which are shaped variably depending on the necessary free length and load requirements. These are commonly employed as both temporary and permanent solutions for excavation retention, cofferdams, and seaport quays.

Bored piles

Bored piles are the most common and used deep foundation construction element with many application in civil engineering: foundation of building, shoring system, bulk sampling and secant pile wall

Secant pile wall

This technique involves the use of intersecting bored piles to create a solid wall, commonly used for excavation support or as a perimeter for ventilation and access shafts in mining. Additionally, it can serve as a barrier to prevent leaks and water flow through a tailings dam.

Pietzometer installation and maintenance

We possess extensive experience throughout Ghana with the installation and maintenance of instrumental piezometers for the mining industry.

Deep boreholes

We possess the expertise to offer drilling services for boreholes up to 60-70 meters deep and 32 inches in diameter. These are extensively used in mining exploration for dewatering wells and as duct shafts.

Grouting

Grouting involves the high-pressure injection of cementitious materials into cracks and voids to seal rocks and prevent underground water ingress. We also use this method to seal existing retaining walls.

Cofferdams

We offer design and construction services for the installation of cofferdams, enabling safe and dry construction activities within riverbeds and lakebeds.

Diaphragm wall

We have the capability to mobilize and construct diaphragm walls using Grab Machine or Trench Cutter machine, and to employ this technology in precise mining exploration.

Jet grouting

We are experienced in jet grouting, a soil improvement technique commonly used for sealing leaks in tailing dams, isolating excavation pits from the water table (creating excavation plugs), and consolidating both existing and future foundations to minimize settlement.

Shoring system

We offer design and construction services for shoring systems. This involves implementing a permanent or temporary retaining system designed to prevent the soil around an excavation site (such as a deep basement or parking levels) from collapsing during construction.

Dewatering systems

In addition to drilling deep boreholes, we can also supply a complete range of dewatering systems and equipment for water wells and lowering the water table in mines or other subterranean activities.

Shoring system and jet grouting

Shoring system may be combined with jet grouting techniques to also prevent water at the bottom of the excavation from disrupting the construction process. Shoring typically incorporates ground anchors or soil nails, the choice of which depends on the depth of the excavation and the proximity of surrounding structures.

CFA

Continuous flight auger (CFA) piles belong to the group of bored cast-in-place replacement piles. These piles are drilled and concreted in a single continuous operation, allowing for a significantly quicker installation compared to other piles of similar type. Bauer can offer this solution for large-scale projects where the project's schedule and volume make the deployment of this equipment feasible.
